The results of a bizarre crossbreed of a Dream Hopper and a Goblin has produced this aberration of nature. The Monogoblin inherits the Dream Hopper's transdimensional abilities with the Goblin's vile demeanor. They infest the upper astral planes en massee, and tend to swarm into the dreams of a populated area, instilling horrible nightmares and feeding off the fear. Throughout the years the Hunchback has been a villainous character in gothic-horror novels and scary movies, the most famous of which is probably Quasimoto, from the Hunchback of Notre-Dame. In the novel Quasimoto has the characteristic hump, but also other physical deformaties such as a wart that covers his entire left eye. Despite his deformity he shows a nobleness of heart which is lacking in all the other characters.

The "Hunchback" has become a stock character in horror movies, often as a sidekick to a mad scientist ("Igor" to Victor Frankenstien,) or toady to a more powerful villan.

Kappa are Japanese water spirits, which take the form of a hunched over turtle man. They inhabit lakes and rivers, taunt fishermen, and sometimes abduct children, although a beneficial relationship can be established with them. Kappa are also very proud of their martial arts prowess, and possess superior strength and speed. The Kappa has one weakness: Each has a "bowl" on it's head which must remain filled with water from it's native river or stream. If one can trick the Kappa into spilling this water he will quickly dry up and become immobilized.

Brain Bat

Bizarre lab experiments have produced the brain bat, an ordinary brown fruit bat with a hundred times it's average intelligence. The brain bats quickly escaped and began interbreeding with local bat populations. A rigid hierarchy emerged, with the more intelligent, "pure" brain bats at the top and other less intelligent bats underneath. Since then large migrations of bats of all species have been observed all over the globe.

Zippy the Scorpion Dog

Bubba Hicks was the most red neck mad scientist south of the research center in New Mexico. He was rather attached to his dog but lost it in a spat with his wife. She ran Zippy over with his own truck. Bubba did the one sensible thing he could do, reattach his dog's head to a giant mutant scorpion they had made at the research center and shoot a couple thousand volts into it. Amazingly enough it worked and Bubba sure did love all those new holes in his wife...

The Mugulites are a tribe of primitives that live in a deep subterranean realm of vast caverns. They have short, squat bodies, with the face occupying all of the torso. Their eyes are especially adapted to low light, as the only light sources are open rivers of magma and caverns of phosphorescent algae. They have developed a loose hunter-gatherer culture with a language based on grunts and growls. They will occasionally make raids to the surface to procure certian materials such as wood, they never tarry long as the open air and sunlight makes them uncomfortable.

Brain Slug

These hideous, slimy things just appeared one day from out of nowhere. There is nothing in the fossil record of such a creature and no mention of anything resembling them in recorded history. Yet suddenly they seemed to have appeared in and around major population centers overnight for no discernible reason. The "Brain Slug" is named so for it's wrinkly appearance, however the actual creature is not very intelligent. They are voracious eaters but so far seemed to limit themselves to consuming garbage and waste products, although there are rumors of "packs" of the slow moving creatures attacking homeless in parks and sewers.

Although in ancient myth she is represented with a human form, over the centuries she has become more closely associated wtih a dragon herself.

Devil Penguins are a mutated offshoot of ordinary Emperor Penguins. They average roughly six feet in height, are covered with a rubbery skin, and generally share the same social habits as ordinary penguins. However large groups of Devil Penguins have been observed hunting in packs and attacking larger animals, such as sharks and whales.

When a young Necromancer wants to start trying new things, his toy collection is often the first thing to suffer. Taking a wooden cart, a propeller and Mr. Tater Head, its possible to create a Necro Tater Head. The best part is that on top of it being able to fly and wheel around, you can stick things to it and have it scream back at you.

The Yowie is the Australian name for a creature similar to the Asian Yeti or Bigfoot of North America. The name itself comes from an Aboriginal mythological character.

The Yowie is described as large, with reddish-brown hair, bipedal but walking in a stooped over, gorilla like stance. Sightings mostly occur in heavily forested regions of Australia's sparse outback.

Is the Yowie real? There is definitely enough unpopulated land that could support a population. However to date the evidence collected for the creature (eyewitness sightings, footprint casts of dubious origin, unidentified hair samples) fails to convince the larger scientific community.

Lamp Post Stalker

These bizarre creatures are nocturnal predators with a unusual method of hunting prey. They will align their tall round bodies with a light post, changing their width in order to hide behind it perfectly. They move from post to post, getting closer and closer to their prey. When they finally get close enough, they reach out with their tentacles and whisk the struggling victim into their gaping maws before dashing back into the shadowy alleys again. While they are quite active in cities, and thus the name, they can be found in forests too where they get much bigger.

Cactus men

A race of silent, stoic cactus people who populate the American south west. Thus far they've remained hidden, co-existing with mankind by silently occupying the harshest of desert lands. Although they lack sophisticated technology, they have an advanced culture and a long oral history that goes back thousands of years. They are generally peaceful but are extremely wary of outsiders (bordering on xenophobic.) They tend to avoid direct confrontations and use surprise, opportunity, or numbers to overwhelm a foe.
